Production Manager - Flood Angel Manufacturing 

Reporting to: Managing Director

Package: £ Excellent for the right individual

This is a pivotal role in the Flood Angel Manufacturing Team and requires an individual with a wealth of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a UPVC door/window business.

You will be required to manage a growing team of production staff so a strong personality, an ability to manage multiple production processes at the same time and experience of effectively managing staff across a range of manufacturing disciplines is essential.  

As well as the management of shop floor production staff & processes, you’ll be responsible for managing all stock deliveries, product dispatch and liaison with Flood Angel administrative staff so strong organisational and communication skills are a must.

You will need to be fully conversant with all aspects of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation in the workplace and ensure that the highest quality standards are adopted at all times across the manufacturing process in order to support the company’s growth aspirations.  

The main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Manage the production/fabrication team on the workshop floor and delegate operations to the workshop team, whilst maintaining close watch at all times
  • Manage quality control across the manufacturing process.
  • Support team with hands on manufacturing support as and when required.
  • Manage supplier relationships/agreements. 
  • Adhere to procedures and requirements of ISO 9001:2008/2015 and work with the quality representative to work for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee management of stock levels, reordering as necessary, ordering raw materials for fabricating bespoke products.  This will include a monthly stock check, followed by a report to the Managing Director.
  • Undertake general and job specific Health & Safety training and communicate  obligations and compliance with H&S policy for all production employees
  • Maintain all workshop tools and ensure tidiness of workshop floor. 
  • Liaise with Managing Director on all orders passed to the workshop and to oversee fabrication of bespoke barriers through to the despatch stage.
  • Provide cutting list to production and place necessary sub-contract orders.
  • Oversee packaging of orders to be dispatched by courier.
  • Lead, manage and expand the team in the workshop area to meet business requirements.
  • Manage planned maintenance contracts/service level agreements.
  • Produce Weekly Reports & present at Weekly Management Meeting.
  • Report against KPIs to Managing Director.
